Kellom Elementary - Omaha Public Schools
Meet Mrs. Powell, ESL Teacher
Minimize

My name is Priscilla Powell, and I am the ESL Resource teacher at Kellom.

I have taught almost every elementary grade in OPS over the last 22 years.  My experiences in teaching have taken me to Walnut Hill, Dundee, Highland, and now Kellom.  In 1999, I started teaching ESL.
I have been married to my husband Warren for 20 years, and we have 6 children and soon-to-be 10 grandchildren between us.  We enjoy traveling in our camper and have spent our last few summers in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota.  Weekends may find us camping at Fremont Lakes, where I enjoy doing Sudoku and word puzzles and playing with my grandchildren.  I am active in my church, and I have organized and traveled on mission trips to Cameroon in Africa, Germany, Mexico, and the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.  My husband wishes I could play a better game of golf, but my sport is tennis.  For a few summers, I have even given tennis lessons during summer school.
