Welcome to the Joslyn library!  I have been the library media specialist at Joslyn School for the past nine years and have enjoyed a total of 30 years as a library media specialist for O.P.S. As you can imagine, I have seen many changes occur in libraries over the past years. Libraries have evolved into media centers and on to information centers. Technology has made information access and retrieval a totally new process than it was in past years. This process is constantly changing with new evolving technology. It is exciting to see how children have quickly become comfortable with accessing and retrieving information electronically. It is still a great pleasure, though, to share the joy of literature with children through beloved, favorite books. My goal is to make our school library a very inviting place where literature comes to life and information about the entire world is available at their fingertips. Our library has a wonderful "porthole" window to see the world outside. I hope children come to view all libraries as the port to learning about the entire world!
