Jefferson Elementary School is going to live TV with their morning announcements.  The news staff will comprised of fifth and sixth graders who are the weather and newscasters, sound operators, and crewmembers.  They rotate through these various roles so that each person participates as both reporter and crewmember.  They typically write and practice the script each morning.  Broadcasters have loads of fun, while learning important skills such as public speaking, interviewing, and teamwork.  During the broadcasts student hope to have many guest appearances by parents and teachers, as well as children from the younger grades.
