Welcome To Art!!

This year in art is off to a great start. We have been very busy, in art we are learning many new things; including drawing portraits, painting with water colors, using oil pastels, weaving, sewing, working with clay, collage work, and working with mixed media.

The students are learning about a new artist, art method, art technique, and vocabulary in every new lesson. The students are also reading books or having books read to them that go along with the art lesson; some of the favorites so far include; The Very Hungary Caterpillar, Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you See  by Eric Carle, and The Mitten by Jan Brett.
