Greetings from our website.  Please be patient as this site gets up and running more completely in the near future.  Parents can help encourage their children to be reading at home at least 20 minutes per day and help them memorize their basic math facts for quick recall.  Our SITTON spelling take-home pages should be completed every two weeks and returned as soon as possible.  If you are interested in ordering Scholastic books online, please ask your child to bring home details.  (This will be updated here as soon as possible, probably to include a direct link.)

Students are each beginning research of a famous African American in history for Black History month and will be writing a short biography of the famous person's life and how that person has had an influence on our class today.

We are trying to get EVERY DROP OF EDUCATION possible, and striving to KEEP OUR EYES ON THE PRIZE!  Many students have set lofty goals for themselves and their futures.  We know that the time we spend in class and homework today is laying the foundation for the students' future careers! Your child's planner should show all assignments and whether they are completed or still due.  Planners should be viewed and signed by parents daily, as this is a great place for parent - teacher communication to occur.

Thank you for your support! I look forward to visiting with you all at conference time during the end of February.      ~Ms. Anita Jo Harder Afsahi
