Students are expected to follow all school and classroom rules. Each
classroom has the rules posted at all times. If the student breaks a
rule, a warning is given. If the students continues with misbehavior,
the student may be required to take a 'time-out' in their classroom or
neighboring classroom. If the student still continues the misbehavior,
he/she will be sent to the Positive Action Center (PAC) or the office.
The parent will be contacted and a student aggreement will be
established in regard to future behavior. All students at Hartman
School are being taught Social Skills. Lessons are introduced in the
classroom and followed up on throughout the year. Students who do not
properly follow the Social Skills steps will be referred to the PAC
room or office for re-teaching. Students are expected to model good
social skills as they deal with their teachers, peers, and all staff
memeber at Hartman Schools. The Hartman Positive Action Center is also a place for students to catch up on daily work or for a quiet "think" place.
