The mission of the Fontenelle College Prep Club is to help our students become tomorrow’s college graduates by preparing our students to:
- Connect with other students/mentors with similar goals or career interests
- Develop and write short and long term visions of what type of college they want to attend and why
- Examine the latest information on college scholarships and entrance exams
- Experiment with extracurricular academic activities that challenge the mind to think creatively and outside the box
- Explore occupational areas that BEST fit their major interests or future career paths
- Investigate the college admission process and requirements such as recruiting, academic records (transcripts), grades, high school course selections, letters of recommendations, co-curricular and extra curricular activities
- Learn about certain skills, strengths and experiences that meet college profiles
- Visit and tour local high schools and college campuses
