We believe that all students have a right to learn and that discipline methods should increase the students' time on task and promote mastery of grade level objectives. The faculty, staff, and parent community of Edison School are dedicated to the goal of improving achievement and educational opportunities for all students. In order to accomplish this goal, we believe it is important for us to establish an atmosphere where children feel safe, secure, and happy, and where each child has the maximum opportunity to learn. Parents and teachers should work cooperatively for the overall success of the students, while inspiring a sense of self-discipline and school pride. The Edison staff stresses growth, individual responsibility, and problem-solving in a collaborative effort among students, parents, educators, and the community.
