Reasons to join Crestridge PTO

The 2009-2010 Volunteer and Membership Form has a link to the left in the menu. Please consider volunteering this year. We need you to make things happen! Dues are only $5.00 for individuals or $8.00 for families.

How does the PTO help Crestridge?
• PTO holds a Crestridge carnival in the spring.
• PTO brings the Scholastic Book fair to Crestridge twice a year. Students can buy books and teachers earn free books.
• PTO organizes community activities like the International Dinner, Godfather’s Pizza nights, skating nights, and bowling nights.
• PTO helps pay for the field trips taken by all grade levels.
• PTO sponsors school assemblies, school pictures, yearbook, and field day.
• PTO helps pay for spirit parties, room parties, treats for the safety patrol and the sixth grade send-off celebration.
• PTO provides meals for teachers during parent-teacher conferences and on Teacher Appreciation Day.
Special Projects
Each year the PTO funds special School projects. PTO members decide how monies are spent. Here are some examples of our special school projects.
• 2005-06: Computers and projectors for use in four classrooms
• 2006-07: New primary basketball court
• 2007-08: Classroom supplies for each teacher in the building
• 2008-09: Classroom technology: two new laptops, a Smartboard, and ELMO projectors
• 2009-2010: ??? Come to the first meeting and help us decide!

• PTO meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the Crestridge library.
• All Crestridge families are invited to attend. Free childcare will be provided during the meetings.
