Welcome to Room 14!!!
October 21, 2009
It's Conference Week already here....the weeks have flown by and we've been busy learning! Hopefully your student is used to the routine of our days, and hopefully, your student is also in the routine if bringing home his/her assignments to complete at home. I know that everyone is involved and busy with extra activities outside of school-that's AWESOME! Please make sure your child comes to school ready to learn each day...it makes my job a tad bit easier when kiddos are well rested and ready to engage their brains.
We have had some students out of school with not feeling well. If your student doesn't feel well, or is showing signs of becoming ill, please keep him/her home and away from classmates!! We are washing hands frequently and disinfecting the room on a regular basis!! I am happy to provide homework for students who are not at school....please call the office to make a request, or send me an email!
Your child should still be bringing home his/her 3-ring binder every evening; this binder should also have his/her assignment in it. I encourage individual responsibility for the students. There is a "Master Assignment Board" in the classroom for your student to use throughout the day. I do not check or sign off on assignment notebooks at the end of the day. Please help me with encouraging your student to be responsibile for his/her own learning by being involved! I appreciate it!
Parents ROCK!! Thanks for all you do for your student and all you do to encourage him/her in their educational journey!
Keep smiling!
