Fantasy genre:  These stories have characters, settings, and/or plots that are not found in the real world.  The usual characters include unusual beings or creatures, talking animals, or toys and other objects that come alive.  The setting includes an imaginary place in the past, present, or future.  Usually in a fantasy novel, actions or descriptions may be exaggerated to make them more exciting or the characters may travel backward or forward in time.
