On Monday, November 23, our third grade students will be going to The Rose Theater for an acting workshop. Students will learn all the artistic elements used to create a play! The day starts with an active imagination workshop that demonstrates the importance of imagination when acting, directing, playwriting and designing. Students will tour the theater, costume shop, learn where the sound is controlled, how the sets are changed and even where the lights are hung. Using their imaginations, they will turn a multicultural story into theater by creating their own design project, rehearsing their play and sharing their performance.

The bus will be leaving Columbian immediately after morning announcements at 9:00 am. Since we will be eating lunch at the Rose Theater, all students will need to bring a disposable sack lunch with a drink.
The cost of this field trip is generously paid for by the Sherwood Foundation.
