The role of the elementary guidance counselor is to assist all students with developing and attaining their academic, career, and personal goals through:

• Developmental Guidance Lessons
• Individual Counseling
• Small Group Counseling
• Lunch Bunch
• Home Visits/Family Involvement
• Crisis Intervention
• Consultation/Collaboration with:
  • School Staff
  • Parents&Guardians
  • District Support Services
  • Community Agencies

Students access their counselor for group and/or individual counseling through:

• Self referral
• Teacher referral
• Parent/Guardian referral
• Administrative referral
• Referral by a friend
