Welcome to third grade!  During the the second quarter many things will be going on.  During November, we will have an acting experience at the Rose Theater.  In the month of December, there will be a violin concert and a field trip to the Morman Trail Center.  Be sure to check your calendars for dates and details.

Math:  We will be working on money, time, and 3 and 4 digit subtraction and addition.  Multiplication will be starting in November and December.  Help your student practice math facts.

Reading: Units 5 & 6 focus on reading comprehension.  Help your student by having them read for a short period each night and re-tell the story to you.

Spelling :  Words lists come home every Monday.  Students should be practicing 10 minutes every night.

Grammar:  Verbs, nouns, complete sentences, and writing  topic paragraphes.

Science: Earth movement
