Catlin Magnet Center is located at 12736 Marinda Street in Omaha. This
school serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The visual
and performing arts are an integral part of the core curriculum for
children in second through sixth grade. Choral music, piano
keyboarding, violin, drama, theater field trips, and an array of visual
arts including painting and sculpture give students many opportunities
to develop an appreciation for the arts. Use of computer and electronic
technology for creative expression enhances the learning experiences
for all students. Partnerships with various community arts groups
provide human and material resources for the magnet center. Visiting
artists and guest performers share their expertise and enrichment
activities with students. At Catlin Magnet Center, students obtain an
enriched education, exposed to the arts and a diverse environment that
allows them to develop social and academic skills that last a lifetime.
