In room 116 (Dual Language - 3rd) we have been busy little "cardinals". In math we have completed work on place-value, measurement, time and money, addition and subtraction (with and without regrouping). Not everyone has completed multiplication and division but, we have moved on to geometric
shapes. Keep studying thos math flascards. In science we studied about the earth's surfaces and now we are exploring the wonders of light and sound. Later on we will be looking at life cycles of plants and animals. WQe are continually working on improving our reading fluency and comprehension, in both English and Spanish.
We have had two fieldtrips this year. Our first trip was a workshop at the Rose Theater and the second trip was to the Orpheum Theater to see Flat Stanley. They both were a great learning experience. We have another up-coming trip in May to the Fontenelle Forest. Right now we are really focusing on reading in order to be prepared for our Third Grade Reading Standards Test. We start that test the week of March 17. Wish us luck!
Goals
To make the school year an enriching, exciting learning experience for the students, parents and me!
Something of interest about me
My favorite things to do is to travel, read, shop and to collect angels. I also collect spoons from the places I go.
