School Hours: 8:55 A.M. - 3:45 P.M.  Students can start arriving for breakfast at 8:30.  Students arriving at 8:50 or after should go directly to the classroom.

 

Breakfast/Lunch:  Students may eat breakfast at school for free.  All students eat lunch at school.  The price for lunch is $1.35 and  the price for milk for cold lunch is $.25.

 

Specials:  Your child will participate in classes with physical education, art, music, and library specialists.  You will receive a calendar at the beginning of each month listing the scheduled specials.

 

Show & Tell:  Fridays will be our "sharing" day.  Children may bring one item to sahre with the classmates (excluding weapons).

 

Parent/Teacher Conferences:  Conferences are scheduled for the first and third quarters of the school year.

 

Supplies:  It would be helpful if your child has a backpack labeled with his/her name to use to carry papers and library books home.  A small blanket would also be helpful for the daily rest time.  This should also be labeled with the child's name.

 

Snacks:  We will be having snacks occassionally.  If you would like to help out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please send items such as:  pretzels, cookies, cheez-its, fruit snacks, graham crackers...in an unopened package to be shared with the class.  These will be kept in the classroom cabinet and used as needed.

 

Book Orders:  Once a month, your child will bring home order forms from Scholastic book clubs.  You may order books if you choose and send payment in the proper cash amount or check made out to the book club.

 

Dismissal:  Kindergarten students will be dismissed by the teacher and safety patrols.  Students will go to one of the following locations:  teardrop drive, van/bus, or Kid's Club.
