Our Brundibar Learning Adventure is scheduled for this Thursday, November 5th.  We will be eating lunch early, at school, and then load onto the bus for the trip to the Rose Theater.  We will return to school before the end of the school day, so there will not be a disruption of the dismissal time.

I've made telephone contacts & left telephone messages to those who did not attend their scheduled Parent-Teacher conference.  Please contact me at 554-8570 and request that a message be left in my voicemail with your current telephone number, so a meeting can be rescheduled.  I will be returning all calls and messages  before 4:00 PM tomorrow.

Criterion Referenced Test Results from the 5th grade tests were sent home to parents on 10/8-10/13.  This information reflects only subject matter from the 2008-2009 year.

Permission slips for the November "Brundibar" learning adventure to OperaOmaha were also sent home on 10/8.  They should be returned by October 21st.

Math Pre-CATs will take place this week.  It is important to get a good night's rest, eat a nutritious breakfast, and be on time to school every day.

Our next learning adventure will take us to OperaOmaha for Brundibar on November 5th.  Permission slips will be sent home this week.  They need to be filled out and returned to school by October 21st.  If you lose your permission slip and need to print another from home, you can find a copy of the slip that works best for you in the "Important Information" box on the right side of this page.

Progress Reports were sent home on Thursday, September 24th.  These should be signed and returned to school on Tuesday, September 29th.  Reminders for Parent-Teacher conferences will be sent home soon.  If you received a reserved appointment card at "Meet the Teacher Night" or "Open House," a reminder slip will not be sent home, as you have already guaranteed your conference time.

 The technology lab has been a very busy place.  We spent time there today, and will continue again tomorrow.  All 6th graders are completing the pre-screening for the Nebraska State Reading Assessment.

Picture  envelopes are being sent home today.  If you wish to order any individual photos, or packages, please fill out the envelope and return with the appropriate fees sealed inside.

The 6th graders in both the Tester classroom and the Viola classroom will be traveling to the Henry Doorly Zoo on September 18, 2009 for an all-day Learning Adventure.  Sack lunches should be brought from home, or one can be ordered in advance from the school cafeteria.  Parent/Guardian volunteers are requested to chaperone a small group of 3-4 students during the day.  Please contact one of the 6th grade teachers if you might be interested in doing this.  Permission slips are due by September 11, 2009.  If your permission slip is lost, click the link in the "Important Information" box box to the right to print another one.

Lockers are in short supply.  Students will be sharing with up to 2 other individuals.  All contents of lockers will need to go home every afternoon.  Anything left in a locker overnight (without teacher permission) will be transferred to the "Lost and Found."
