The new "Word of the Day" sheets were handed out, and they are due the morning of October 21st.  There will not be any BBNC Training after school on October 21st, due to Parent-Teacher Conferences.

The PSA Video permission slips were sent home after training today.  They should be completed and returned by October 26th.  On filming days (10/28, 10/29, 11/4, 11/5) there will not be after-school Broadcasting training.  If you need to download an extra copy of the slip, please click the link in the "Important" box on the right side of this page.

Words of the Day sheets are due tomorrow (10/8) afternoon, in addition to the PSA research information.

The next "Words of the Day" sheets will be due October 8th.  They will be collected during after-school training.  Planning will begin this week for a 60-second Public Service Announcement.  Video-recording permission slips will be sent home soon.

Most students turned in their "Words of the Day" on time on 9/11/2009.  There are a couple of students who still have not brought them in.  Remember, you will not be allowed on Crew (in the Production area) if you do not complete your vocabulary words.  The next "Words of the Day" are due on 9/24/2009.  FYI:   you can download a form from the link on the right if you lose the sheet that was passed out this morning.

All BBNC members should plan on arriving on time, at 8:30 AM, on 9/8/2009 to Room 303 for training.  Please make sure to bring a sharpened pencil.  All backpacks and other belongings should be dropped off at lockers before arriving to Mrs. Tester's classroom.

Amanda H, Collin M, Celena S, and Tiffany S have been working very hard the past 2 weeks to put together a professional broadcast each morning, and assist with the recently completed auditions.  Their dedication and encouragement to new BBNC members is greatly appreciated.  Keep up the great work kids!

All 5th & 6th graders completed their auditions today.  We have some great talent at Beals Elementary School!  Result letters will be provided to teachers to give to students at the end of the day on Friday, August 28th.  Every student who auditioned did a great job.

All 4th graders who requested an audition, and had a signed permission slip, were auditioned today.  Everything ran on schedule, and the students did a great job.  After the 5th & 6th graders complete their auditions tomorrow night, letters will go home to those who are selected to be on the BBNC.  All new crew members will begin practice September 8th at 8:30 AM.

4th graders will audition on Wednesday, August 26th, and 5th & 6th graders will audition on Thursday, August 27th.  Auditions will take place in Mrs. Tester's classroom between 3:45-5:00 PM.

Parents/Guardians ~ After auditions are completed on August 26th & 27th, crew members will be selected and a letter will be sent home with additional information.  All BBNC members will have training on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons until 4:00 PM.  Students who stay for after-school tutoring wil be able to leave training and go right to tutoring. More information will follow at a later date.

A big "THANK YOU" to Amanda H., Veronica T., and Tiffany S. for presenting a very professional newscast the first day back at school.  These young ladies picked up right where they left off last year, and did it with style.  Great work, girls!
