Welcome to Third Grade!

Room 213

    My name is Kendra Smith. In January of 2007, I graduated from Bellevue University with a B.S. degree in Sociology. In December of 2007, I graduated with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I recently obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading.

    I believe in the importance of teaching to the whole child. Not only do I teach the curriculum by using hands on and visual tools, but I also implement group and peer projects. Teaching social skills is very important to me. It's my honor to teach these skills in our classroom. As your child's teacher, I plan to have a classroom enviroment that is safe and conducive for learning.

   My husband is also a teacher, we share a passion for  teaching children. We have been married for almost 10 years and we have a lovely 8 year old daughter. We are all very excited to find out what the new school year brings!
