School Lunch
Lunch Prices are $1.35, regular priced, and $.40 for reduced. Lunch applications must  be completed and returned if you are interested in applying for reduced priced lunches. Students that qualified for reduced price lunches last year must complete a new application. If a new application has not been returned, the student will be charged full price.

Drop off and Dismissal Reminders
Pre-kindergarteners/Kindergarteners and siblings that are picked up by car will be dismissed in the teardrop drive on the east (48th Street) side of the building.

First-Sixth grade students that are picked up by car will be picked up in the lower west parking lot (49th Street).

Please pull as far forward as you can and remain in your car. As we learn cars we will call your student to the car. This will assist with keeping traffic moving so that traffic does not become a hazard on the busy street. Please assist in the lower parking lot by only turning right out of the parking lot. Note the sign posted:

Kid’s Club parents we truly appreciate that you do not park in the 3 stalls marked office parking.

How can I best help my child in school?
Many of the Beals families attended Safe-Walk to school and promised to read with their child for at least 20 min. a night. Well, if this has been a challenge it is never to late
to start this routine (The Daily Three) in your home!
Please require that your student
1. Reads to him/herself
2. Reads aloud to someone
3. Listens to someone reading

Note from the Guidance Counselor
Social Settlement is pleased to announce that they are once again offering their after school tutoring program this year at Beals Elementary. The program is designed to give students small group help with homework and review of skills in all subject areas, with a concentration in reading and math. Tutors work diligently with students to increase problem-solving skills, and develop study habits in a structured environment. The sessions are offered free of charge. It is offered on Monday nights at Social Settlement, located at 4860 Q Street. Tutoring is also offered on Wednesday nights at Beals Elementary. If you would like your child to participate in this opportunity please contact Mr. Soren Peterson at 731-6988 ext. 15. If you have any other questions please contact Mr. Ken Guenther, counselor at Beals Elementary.
