Beals Staff and Students say
“Thank You”……
Red Ribbon Week was a true success due to all of the donations provided by the following businesses: Burger King, Panera Bread, Blimpie's, Cabellos, Bass Pro Shop, Sonic Drive In, Walgreens, HyVee Food Stores.
National Teddy Bear Day
Beals will be celebrating National Teddy Bear Day on Wednesday, November 14th. Staff and students will carry their favorite teddy bear or small stuffed toy and wear there pajamas on this day. This will be a relaxing day with reading as a focus.
Hy-Vee Receipts
The Hy-Vee receipt program has started as well. This will run until December 31, 2007. Hy-Vee will donate a percentage monies based on the amount of monies on the receipts. Every little bit counts. Turn in your Hy-Vee receipts to your students teacher!
McGruff Houses
One of the Beals EXCELS (school improvement ) goals is to provide a safe and secure environment for all students. Our Safe Secure leadership team is working on locating some McGruff Houses in the neighborhood. If a student has a concern in route to or from school the McGruff House will be a safe place for them to go with the concern. If you are interested in becoming a McGruff House please contact Mrs. Kathy Erickson at Beals.

Make the most of car time…
Car time does not have to be boring, It can be educational and funny! Suggest that your child participate in “The Beals Daily Three” as you ride in the car.
1. Reads to him/herself,
2. Reads aloud to someone, and
3. Listens to someone reading!
