We have embraced and adjusted the well-known Proverb, “It takes a village to educate a child”-Therefore, your support is greatly appreciated as you continue to make sure that your student participates in the Daily 3 at home.

Henry Doorly Zoo-Read Around the World Contest
Beals will be participating in Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo's Read Around the World Contest. The contest runs from December 1st to February 25th. All totals will be turned in on February 26th. Students are to fill in their book record form with the books that they have read, have a parent/guardian sign the form and return them to the school to be given to their teacher. (You can count the ones that you read for Book It! or other reading programs, too.) Students may fill more than one form. Get extra forms from Mrs. Brown or click here.
Student's teacher will give the forms to Mrs. Brown. **Students, who cannot read on their own, may count the books read to them.

The primary (K-3) and intermediate (4-6) class with the most books read will get a popcorn party.
The school that reads the most books will win a free day at the zoo! If Beals wins, the entire school will go one day sometime in April.
LAST DAY FOR BOOK FORMS TO BE TURNED IN IS FEBRUARY 25TH!
