Food Drive
A big thank you to everyone who helped with our Food Drive! We were able to assist 20 of our families with meals over the Thanksgiving Holiday. You are such a caring community and it shows with your many contributions! Be looking in the newsletter for a list of area businesses that were able to help us this year! A big thank you to them as well!
You are cordially invited to the Beals Winter Program,
“Spotlight on Music”
Presented by Our
Beals Students
The performance times are
10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on
Friday, December 8th
In the Beals Gym.
All students Kindergarten to Sixth grade will sing at both times.
This is a wonderful time to watch our students enjoy the winter season! We look forward to seeing you!!
(Prekindergarten may have a program at a different time.)
*Students will be allowed to leave with their parent or guardian after the ENTIRE 1:30 p.m. performance. Students may sign out in their rooms. If a student is going home with someone other than a parent/guardian, written permission to the school from the parent/guardian is needed prior to the program day.
**The front doors will be the only doors open to gain entrance to the building.
***Need a letter to your employer stating the necessity of your attendance at the program? Give us a call or stop by the school office! We’ll help out.
Mark your calendars….Reindeer Lanes IS COMING….December 14th…..6-8:00 p.m….in the Gym!
HyVee Receipts
Keep saving those receipts! Any receipts dated up to December 31st will help Beals School. Just bring them to the office. Beals gets a percentage back from the total on the receipts!
Winter Weather and Dismissals
Area radio and television stations will begin carrying the announcement of any school closings due to weather at or before 6:00 AM. Our superintendent, Dr. Mackiel, will make the decision in advance of this time after evaluating all information on weather, street and safety conditions. Only school closing announcements will be made. If no closing announcement is made, schools will be open.
In the event of unexpected weather emergency, schools may be dismissed early. In such situations, school will be dismissed two hours earlier than normal. Kids Club and transportation will run accordingly. Students will not be able to call home as phone lines will be busy. Students will be served lunch. Please note that in inclement weather, parents may pick up their children from any school at anytime during the day.

We do have some kiddos without hats or mittens, thus our Mitten Tree is already set up in the front hall. We will accept donated new or gently used pairs of mittens or hats to put on the tree. If mittens or hats are needed, please contact Mr. Guenther, our counselor!
