Attendance
Did you receive a letter on your child’s absences or tardies? We are very concerned about your child’s attendance at school. Children have jobs just like adults and that job is school. Did you know that when a child misses one day that it takes three additional days for your child to get “caught up” because of the teacher’s classroom instruction missed by the student. Any child having more than 5 absences or 8 tardies will receive a letter regarding the importance of attending school. This is happening throughout the Omaha Public Schools. At 5 absences, our counselor, Mr. Guenther will try to call you to see if we can help in any way. We know that when a child is sick, it can’t be helped. Let your kiddos know how important their job is to you!
