Dear All,

I imagine you read the letter from Tuesday about my new appointment to Sunny Slope School.  Wow – what an outpouring of warmth from everyone regarding the change for next year!  Thank you so much for your understanding and support over my time here.

The kiddos have been especially precious!   I have to share some of the comments that have been shared with me:

“Will she come back every day next year and check on us?”
“She has to come back the first day to congratulate us on going into the next grade.”
“I hate that Mackiel dude.”
“Mrs. Whitehouse is leaving and she is going to a sunny slope.”

“…out of the mouths of babes…..”

I will be here for the remainder of this school year and start at Sunny Slope in the fall, yet there will be much work to do over the summer to make a smooth transition for all involved.  I will keep you posted on any developments regarding the new principal for Beals.  Again, thank you so much for sharing your children with me.  I have learned so much from them and love them dearly!

Kim Whitehouse, Principal
    Parent Teacher Conferences

We had quite a successful Parent Teacher Conference.  Thank you so much for coming in to check on your youngster(s).  It means so much to them.  We had approximately 92% of our parents come for conferences.  The turn out is always good at the elementary level – be sure to keep this up when they go to middle school and high school.  Believe it or not, they need you even more as they get older, more independent and have to face more adult decisions.

Candy Bar Sales

Have you purchased your candy bars?  What a great easy way to help out the school!   Only $20 will get you a box of candy  and you can set it out and sell it at work!   We always appreciate your help!   (They make great incentives and rewards for good effort at home or school or anyone in the family!)
