No School on Monday!
Due to a Teacher Work Day, there will be no school for all students on Monday, May 1st. In addition, there is no school for all prekindergarten students on Friday, April 28th.
Support for Bus/Van Drivers
A big thank you to all our bus and van drivers! They not only drive the bus and keep our kiddos safe, but monitor their activities while they are on the bus. Thank you so much for all you do!
Teardrop Drive
Another big thank you! Wow – we really appreciate your patience while picking up or dropping off your kiddos in the tear drop drive. We know at the end of the day the drive can be full and we request you to drive around the block. This really helps with the flow of traffic and in keeping our students safe. Thank you for your help!
Parking Lot
Have you noticed? Yes, the right hand turn sign is now in place as you exit the parking lot and things seem to be going quite well! This, too, helps with the safety of our kiddos and helps to keep the traffic moving smoothly. Although there are times that when the “principal’s back is turned”, an occasional car will still turn left or go straight. Please set the example for your child to follow all directions even if it isn’t always convenient.
Sixth Grade Recognition
Oh my! We are getting to that time when we recognize all the wonderful things our Sixth Graders have done for Beals! They have been a wonderful group through the years and we will miss their energy, their enthusiasm, and their dedication to learning. Thus, you are invited to their Sixth Grade Recognition on Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 p.m. in our gym. We look forward to spending this special time with them.
Field Day Scheduled
Our Field Day is scheduled for Friday, May 12th. Talk with Mr. Kuncl if you would like to help. Look for a schedule coming home in the future. Rain dates are May 15th or 16th.
Dogs on School Property
With the weather turning nice, it’s tempting to take the dog for a walk and pick up the kiddos at school. Most dogs can handle being around children, yet with the numbers that we dismiss at the end of the day, our pets may not be familiar with a crowd! For the safety of our kiddos and for your animal, please keep your pet at home. We don’t want even one of our kiddos to be “nipped” or have an allergic reaction.
We encourage the use of our playground for recess during the day and after school hours. Although it may look like a field, our students use the entire playground area. When dogs are allowed to run on our playground they have a tendency to leave “unwelcome deposits”. Please make sure if you bring your pet to Beals that the “unwelcome deposits” go home with you and not on the shoes of our kiddos who want to enjoy the play area. Thank you so much for all your help!
Area Concert Tonight!
Our chorus, band, and strings students will be performing tonight at our area concert at Norris Middle School at 7:30 p.m. They always have such a nice performance. We have so many talented musicians!
Talent Show on Thursday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Come and see the talent of our kiddos!
