You are cordially invited to our Recognition Program
Honoring the Sixth Grade Students of Beals Elementary.
The program will begin at 7:00 p.m.
on Thursday, May 26, 2005
In our multipurpose room.
Plan to attend as we celebrate with our Sixth Graders!
End of Year
If your child will not be attending Beals next year or if you have a change of address or phone number, please call the school office. We want to be sure your child’s records are accurate and in the proper place so that you receive any communications sent during the summer months.
Report Cards
Report Cards will be coming home on Friday, May 27th. If your child will not be in school, we will mail the card home to you providing all fines are paid. If report cards are held, it can be retrieved from the school office when the fines are paid.
Back to School
Are we thinking about this already? We sure are! In August you will receive information about the opening of school. A few things to look for are: students reporting to classrooms after 8:40 a.m.on the first two days of school, breakfast starting on the third day of school, teardrop drive for Prek and Kdg drop off/pick up, parking lot drop off/pick up for grades 1 to 6, Please watch for this important letter.
This letter also informs you of your child’s room number assignment. When making placements in classrooms, we consider many different characteristics. We look at the individual educational needs, gender, ethnic background, teaching styles, learning styles, students to teacher ratio, combination rooms, and citizenship/behaviors. The teachers, counselor and principal look at each child individually and work together to prepare class lists based on all of these factors. This task is taken very seriously and we appreciate your understanding when you review your child’s room number next fall.
Lunch Money
All lunch payments for the remainder of the school year need to be in cash. Please count carefully the days to the end of school. We are unable to give refunds at the building level for overages. Credits can transfer to the next year if a student is remaining at Beals. Any questions, please call Linda Kurz at 554-8570.
The staff and I would like to wish you a happy, fun-filled, safe summer!!! It is always our pleasure to work with you in educating your child(ren). Raising children is not an easy task and it’s the one profession that doesn’t come with a manual! We look forward to next year and working with you again! We wish the best for our sixth graders as they approach the next phase of their lives. Please – enjoy your kiddos this summer – they are so precious!!!
Fondly, Mrs. Whitehouse
