 Welcome
Adams Elementary School is located at 3420 North 78th Street in central Omaha.  It was built in 1925 and named after President John Adams and his son, President John Quincy Adams.  The building was remodeled during the 1987-1988 school year.  The diverse school population includes students in kindergarten through sixth grade.  Programs in English as a Second Language, Special Education Resource, Special Education Mentally Handicapped, Speech, and Gifted Education are offered.  Adams School has a history of strong community involvement and parents and staff who promote excellence in education. The Adopt-a-School Partners and an active Parent-Teacher Association provide volunteer and financial assistance for academic and extracurricular opportunities.  The symbolic mascot of Adams School is the Archer.  The mascot is reflected in the school mission statement:  Adams - A Safe Place Where all Students Aim to Achieve.
