School Description:
The Integrated Learning Program on the Druid Hill Campus is located at 3030 Spaulding Street. The diverse student population includes students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The Integrated Learning Program provides a specialized program for students with behavioral disorders who are referred to The Integrated Learning Program from classrooms throughout the school district. The program's primary goal is to help students learn skills that will allow them to return to neighborhood schools. Through their individualized educational plans, the school improvement plan tracks four goals for each student in the areas of math, communication, technology and social skills. Students are provided with individualized instruction, a low student-teacher ratio, a daily point card and level system, and daily instruction in social skills. Secondary students participate in a transition program that includes career awareness and work experience opportunities. The Integrated Learning Program has monthly family activities and is strongly supported by an Adopt-A-School Partner. |
