Five Omaha schools were merged in a consolidation plan in1988 to create Bancroft Elementary located at 2724 Riverview Boulevard. The diverse student population is served in programs from preschool through sixth grade. Small class size provides students with optimal educational opportunities. Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Botanical Gardens are two of several business partners that have provided resources and enrichment activities for the students. There are many special programs, such as Title l mathematics and reading, English as a Second Language, special education, gifted and talented, and computer lab classes that enhance the learning opportunities for every child.
