Regina Boland

Regina Boland graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Bilingual School Psychology. Regina currently services as a school psychologist for the Omaha Public Schools where she has been employed since 2007. Her interests include second language development, the effects of trauma and neglect on children’s development, and the neurological bases of behavior and learning.

Dr. Shannon Calpin

Dr. Shannon Calpin graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an Ed.D. in School Psychology. She has practiced in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Nebraska. Dr. Calpin currently serves as a School Psychologist with the Omaha Public Schools. Her interests include systems improvement, reponse to intervention, and crisis management.

Paula Coburn

Attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for undergraduate and graduate school. Completed an internship in School Psychology in OPS during 1990-91 school year. Employed as a School Psychologist in OPS since internship year.

Jennifer Drobny

I graduated with my Specialist in Education degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2003.  I have been with the Omaha Public School district since 2002.

Cory Fox

I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. I have been with Omaha Public Schools since 2007.

Dr. Amanda Hall

Amanda is the school psychologist intern this year. After completing her internship she will receive her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Her dissertation and research interests focus on the implementation of evidence-based interventions in classrooms.

Kyle Hesser

I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2005 with an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. I have served as the Nebraska School Psychologist Association (NSPA) president and am currently the president of the Omaha School Psychologist Association (OSPA). I am a certified trainer in the Mandt System and participate in the district’s Autism Consultation Team. I am currently serving Harrison, Pawnee, and Sunny Slope Elementary schools.

Michelle Kiel

Graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a BA in psychology and an M.A. & Ed.S. in School Psychology. Completed internship with Omaha Public Schools in the 2000-2001 school year. Michelle is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and has been employed with OPS since 2000.

Marie Kovar

Marie Kovar graduated from the University of South Dakota with an Ed.S. in School Psychology. Marie currently serves as a School Psychologist for Omaha Public Schools where she has been employed since August 2003. Her interests include English as a Second Language, Psychological Assessments, Neuropsychology, and the importance of building relationships with students. She is bilingual.

Christy Martinelli

Christy graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology and an S.S.P. in School Psychology. She currently serves as a School Psychologist for the Omaha Public School District where she has been employed since August 2004. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and member of the National Association of School Psychologists & Nebraska School Psycholgists Association.

I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Psychology and from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology.  I have been with Omaha Public Schools since 2007.

Kimberly Nelson

Kimberly Nelson graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with an ED.S. in School Psychology. Currently, Kim serves as a school Psychologist for the Omaha Public School District, where she has been employed since 2002.

Dr. Collette Nero

I graduated from Texas A & M with a Ph.D. in School Psychology. I have been with the Omaha Public Schools since August 2000.  Although I currently serve as Coordinator of the Department, I have opportunities to work with students throughout the district. Areas of interest include: Culturally Responsive Service delivery, Assessment of Second Language Learners, Strength Based Assessment, and Promoting Resiliency.

Vicky Porter

Victoria (Vicky) Porter has been a School Psychologist with Omaha Public Schools for over 20 years. She has her undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from Penn State University. She taught Elementary & Special Education classes in Pennsylvania before moving to Nebraska. Vicky has received her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and an advanced degree in School Psychology form the University of Nebraska, Omaha.

Keri Ramaekers

My name is Keri Ramaekers. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a B.S. in Psychology, an M.S. in School Psychology, and an Ed.S. in School Psychology. I enjoy serving as an Omaha Public Schools Psychologist. I enjoy fostering collaborative relations among staff, families, and students in order to better meet the needs of all. Raising children, teaching children, and being a child are challenging roles. My goal is to make those jobs a little easier, with successful outcomes!

Laura Ronning

Hello!  I am fortunate to work for Omaha Public Schools as a School Psychologist since 2001. I hold Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Elementary Education and Special Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology, also from UNL.

Prior to becoming a school psychologist, I taught General Elementary Education and Special Education students. I have also taught education courses at Dana College and UNL.

Debra Rosman-Webber

Mrs. Rosman-Webber has been a School Psychologist with the Omaha Public Schools since 1985, serving preschool through high school populations. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists.

Dr. Desiree Vega

Dr. Desiree Vega graduated from Ohio State University with a Ph.D. in School Psychology. Currently, Dr. Vega serves as the school psychologist for Castelar Elementary, Belvedere Elementary, Oak Valley Elementary, the Secondary Success Program, and the Independent Studies Program.

Metta Volker-Fry

Metta Volker-Fry graduated from the University of Nebraska with an M.S. and Ed.S. in School Psychology. Metta has been employed with O.P.S. since 2007. She is an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists and Nebraska School Psychology Association. Metta has served various leadership positions in these associations and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Dr. Beth Wells

Dr. Beth Wells graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Ph.D. in School Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Currently, Dr. Wells serves as a school psychologist for the Omaha Public School District where she has been employed since August 1993.

Nadine White

Nadine White graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX with an M.A. in School Psychology. She has been employed with OPS since 2007. Her interests include working with English language learners, students with diverse cultural backgrounds, and families through Early Childhood Consultation.

Dr. Jennifer Wiehe

Dr. Jennifer Wiehe graduated from the School Psychology Program at The University of Texas at Austin with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. Dr. Wiehe is a School Psychologist with the Omaha Public Schools, working with staff, families, and children ages 3-21. She has experience working with students with challenging behaviors, Autism Spectrum Disorders, various learning disorders, as well as with students in alternative education placements. She is an active member of the Nebraska School Psychologists Association (NSPA), and has served as a Committee Chairperson or as a member of the Executive Board of NSPA for the past 12 years.

Dr. Rebecca Word-Orsag

Dr. Word-Orsag graduated from Northern State University at Aberdeen, SD, with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1984. She then taught middle level grades for seven years before returning to graduate school. Dr. Word-Orsag completed her Ed.D. in School Psychology at the University of South Dakota at Vermillion, SD, in 1996. She has worked as a School Psychologist since that time and is currently in her eighth year serving Omaha Public Schools.
