Does the program input grades from a MS access or Excel? -or- Will I have to input each grade one at a time, even if it is already done in a different program?

There will not be any data importing from outside sources for grade entry nor will there be a need for duplicate hand entry. The grade book functionality that is incorporated into Infinite Campus will be the supported district standard. Elementary and Secondary teachers will need to use Infinite Campus in order for grades to be printed on report cards and/or recorded in course history (transcripts).

So, will teachers need to key in each individual grade? I have a program with my curriculum which does this for me. Keying in each grade into a different place would be superfluous. Right now I only key in a final or progress grade. Is is feasible that I would only need to key in a progress or final grade?

It sounds like another program is not needed if it is all connected with the student information system. Especially if parents can log into this particular program and see their students' progress.

I am still not sure what this will mean for me. More work? I already must use a specific program for my classroom and what I want to know is if I will be required to do more work to input information into this program. Or... could I input the information into the infinite campus from a database already created within my computer required software program.

What program are you using? Is it a district-required program? In order for parents and students to see assignments in the Parent Portal they will have to be entered into Campus.
