Volunteer assistance from parents, as well as the community, is vital to the success of Head Start sand Early Head Start centers. Head Start is federally funded to cover only 80% of operation expenses and every dollar received must be matched at the rate of 20 cents in community contributions known as “in-kind”. These services may include: volunteer time in classrooms; parents teaching children in the home; donations of equipment, supplies or space; involvement in agency advisory committees; or professionals providing staff or parent training. If you are interested in volunteering your time or services in any way, please feel free to give us a call. We would love to hear from you!
