…to North High Magnet Academy of Finance students who took the top two places in the Fall 2008 Finance Challenge sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education at UNL. Students were tested on financial terms, concepts and literacy: First Place in the state – Kris Martin, Andrew Schroeder, Xavier Schulte; Second Place in the state – Jason Combes, Kira Luxon, James Robinson. The Academy of Finance, under the umbrella of the National Academy Foundation, is a two-year program of study. The program includes a six-week summer internship in an Omaha-based financial institution and an opportunity for students to earn college credit through a dual enrollment agreement with Metroplitan Community College.
