The Research Office is a division of General Administration. It has responsibilities in two general categories of research functions: Administrative Research and Instructional Research.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESEARCH
Publishes The Statistical Report of the School District of Omaha, Annual Follow-Up of High School Graduates, and various state, federal and local reports.

INSTRUCTIONAL RESEARCH
Functions are broad and include administration of the district-wide standardized testing program including both criterion-referenced and norm-referenced tests. The Research Office conducts extensive in-service programs that use a variety of data to improve instruction. The in-service programs are directed to school, staff, principals and Instructional Department staff.
