OPS Celebrates Read Across America Day 2012

Omaha Public Schools posted on March 02, 2012

In honor of Dr. Seuss' 108th birthday, the Omaha Public Schools participated in the National Education Association's 13th annual Read Across America Day on March 2, 2012. The program focuses on motivating children to read by inviting guests to the school so children and adults can read together. Dozens of community members volunteered to read to OPS elementary students to celebrate the day.
