Students in Andrew Karmazin's Physical Science class at Lewis & Clark Middle School were charged with the task of making Periodic Tables of Common Objects. Students categorized objects such as colors, plants, baseball teams, shoes, cereals, music and even Ford Mustangs. Students had to critically think through the categories and properties of their objects and leave two blank with the description of what would fit in the blanks. Reflections of the project allowed students to make everyday connections and changes that they could make.
