Incoming ninth-, tenth- and eleventh-grade OPS students participated in a unique summer survey course at the OPS Career Center that highlighted career options. The Career Explorations Program gave students hands-on instruction in several areas of study offered by the Career Center including automotive care, construction, television broadcasting, photography, health sciences and culinary arts. In addition to gaining valuable exposure to a variety of careers, students who completed the program obtained CPR certification and had an opportunity to participate in Impact One Community Connection's Great Summer Jobs Program, which provided additional employment and life skills training beyond summer school.
