Washington Elementary Students Recognized for Courage

Washington Elementary students and First Student bus driver Pat Corbitt participate in a celebration at the school honoring the students who were passengers on the bus when Corbitt became ill while driving. While two students tended to Corbitt, others opened the emergency door and ushered younger children to safety. All students on the bus reacted to the emergency calmly and responsibly and were rewarded with a round of applause, certificates and gifts from proud Washington students, staff and First Student dignitaries.
