EXCELS PLUS is the systemic process for school improvement used district wide. EXCELS PLUS Processes ensure continuous school improvement through analysis, action planning, professional development, implementation, monitoring and adjusting. The process is a cycle of predictable, repeatable steps to support schools in school improvement efforts.

The continuous process of improvement encourages the pursuit of excellence and accomplishment of the Aims of the Omaha Public Schools.

The EXCELS PLUS process is a method in which schools meet the requirements of Rule 10, Nebraska Department of Education and our regional accrediting agency, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

The EXCELS PLUS Office is located in the department of Curriculum and Learning. A First Class Conference, which is continually updated with the most recent information and resources, is available to anyone in the district.
