Carbohydrate List

Carbohydrates are important for everyone's diet because they provide our body with energy. Our body uses insulin to convert carbohydrates to energy our body can use. The energy created for our body from carbohydrates powers our whole body, but especially brain and muscles. For most people they have no problem getting enough energy from carbohydrates, but there are some people whose bodies do not produce enough insulin to change the carbohydrates into energy. This list is provided to help people plan the number of carbohydrates they will eat during their meals at school. It is updated periodically so check back for postings. A new version will have a different date on it. If you would like more nutritional information on menued items please click on the Nutritional Information link on the left side of the page.
