Schoolhouse Planning Mission Statement

This department has responsibility for the planning, designing, remodeling, modifying of sites and facilities and equipping of school buildings, additions and offices and for maintaining building records for supplying data for studies and surveys incidental to the continuous determination of building needs in order to provide an adequate school plant in all areas of the school district.
Schoolhouse Planning - Specific Responsibilities
  • Remodel your facility - Additional space needed. Space required for different purpose than designed.
  • Modify your facility layout – Add a wall, remove a wall, re-configure a library, maximize storage space, change space utilization.
  • Infrastructure modifications - technology upgrades, educational programs
  • Add a playground, sidewalk or landscaping
  • Projects inspired and/or funded by PTA, Grants, etc.
  • Modifications needed for educational programs.
  • Acquire information about your facility – floor and site plans, building equipment manuals
  • Update the SP archive of facility information - Used as backup of your information, reference for all departments, and future budgeting
