Wilson Alternative is an alternative education site for the Omaha Public Schools and is located at 5141 F Street. Wilson provides a middle school curriculum for regular and special education seventh and eighth grade students with an emphasis on study and social skills. Parent and student involvement is emphasized and encouraged beginning with an initial orientation and supportive activities throughout each student's membership. Specialized staff, such as a behavioral interventionist, social worker, guidance counselor, and behavioral specialist are on staff to assist students. Student progress is monitored on a daily basis using a Level System to provide behavioral and academic goals and feedback. The Wilson staff is committed to providing a caring and educationally rewarding experience for every student.
