Pop Can Fund

Many thanks to staff, students and parents who have contributed pop cans for recycling.  There was a delay in getting the cans to the recycler this fall due to conflicts in scheduling, however all available cans were collected before the weather interfered. 

 Many of the cans that were contributed have a 5 cent refund if taken to Iowa for recycling.  These cans were sorted and returned for quite an increase in the amount refunded.  There is one catch however.  The Iowa cans must be crush free to qualify for this increased refund.  Please keep this in mind when you are about to celebrate the emptying of another can by squeezing in the sides.  Thanks.

 This semester we recycled over $25 worth of cans.  This money was used to make suspended toy bars for rooms 5 and 9.  In addition, numerous hardware fasteners allowed simple repairs to our school equipment.  We appreciate your partnership in assisting our staff to provide adaptations for our special kids!
