Dr. Philip Cahoy is an orthopedic surgeon practicing in Grand Island, Nebraska. He comes from a long line of SHS graduates - his parents Phil and Bernice, as well as, his younger brother and sister. In 1984, Dr. Cahoy received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and was admitted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He obtained his M.D. in 1990 and began his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin in orthopedic surgery. He is the author of numerous medical journal articles and has made presentations throughout the Midwest at medical symposia. In 1995, Dr. Cahoy obtained a Sports Medicine Fellowship with the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the Kansas City Chiefs. Speaking of sports, Dr. Cahoy was a member of the 1980 United States Olympic Gymnastic Team. He was also a member of the U.S. World and Goodwill Gymnastics Teams five times. This 11 time NCAA All-American was on the University of Nebraska National Gymnastics Teams in 1980 through 1983.
