Starting as a messenger at Packer's National Bank and Trust in 1923, Kozeny now holds the title of Chairman Emeritus 67 years later. An active South Omaha and South High promoter, Kozeny has served as the president of the South Omaha Merchants Association and the "Q" Street Merchants. He served on the Citizens' Advisory Committee of the Omaha Public Schools, was a member of the Nebraska Advocates for Nursing Home Residents, and worked as a director of Boys' Clubs of Omaha. In 1981, Kozeny was inducted into the Old Timers Baseball Hall of Fame.
