Kurt Sorensen is the National Presentation Director for the 600 store T.J. Maxx Department Store Chain. He is responsible for merchandise presentation in all 600 stores. Based in Framington, Massachusetts, Mr. Sorensen is a member of Literacy Volunteers for Massachusetts. Mr. Sorensen says "I remember my time at SHS as a time of limitless opportunities, of new directions to explore and new challenges to meet. I left with a solid education, a sense of confidence in myself and my abilities." Mr. Sorensen is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He and his mother, Phyllis, have established an annual $500 award, the Sorensen Art Scholarship, for SHS graduates pursuing advanced studies in the visual arts.
