Mrs. Limas is also a founding member of the Alumni Association and has served as Secretary of the Board of Directors since its inception and as editor of the Alumni Tooter for ten years. In this capacity, she has helped maintain contact with almost 20,000 alumni and kept the records of the Association. She has also served on the Insurance, By-Lays, and Auditing Committees for the Association.

Mrs. Limas is also one of the founding members of the Omaha Downtown Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She has served as President and Secretary, and has chaired and served on many committees including the Membership Committee. She was honored as the Chapter's Woman of the Year, Nominee for Top Ten Candidate Nationally, and Business Associate of the Year. Other honors include being selected as one of five "Employees of the Year" among 15,000 employees at Coopers & Lybrand, her previous employer.

She has served various local charities and organizations in fundraising and membership campaigns including the Henry Doorly Zoo, American Heart Association, Cancer Society, Sacred Heart School, Salvation Army and the Omaha Symphony as well as being involved in the Adopt-A-School Program.
