    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/385/Enough-with-the-drama.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; If drama were vodka, our school would be wasted. It’s true! Everywhere you turn, you see fights, tears, and gossiping.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Drama is pointless. It makes everyone’s life a living nightmare. You tell your friend a secret, something personal, the whole school hears about it; you get mad at that person and POOF! You got yourself a pot of steamed drama.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Why do we do it? Why do we gossip? Are we that bored with our lives that we want to liven it up by creating stupid drama? Yeah stupid drama. That’s all that it is!

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Do you have any idea what drama can do to a person? Suicide, murder, fights, shootings, stress, paranoia, and the list goes on and on. Is it really worth it? Do you want that to be on your conscious?
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The next time you hear something, keep it to yourself please. Most of us don’t really care. If you keep it to yourself, there will be a 1% greater chance that it will not spread around, and a 100% chance that if it does, it will not be from you. That is a chance that you should be willing to take. You don’t have anything to lose other than that reputation as a drama queen.

    <title>Coming to a Science Classroom Near You: CEENbots</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/377/Coming-to-a-Science-Classroom-Near-You-CEENbots.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; There is good news in store for those students who are hands-on learners. The Benson Science Department is currently working on receiving CEENbots. &amp;#160;CEENbots are robots whose parts were hand fabricated and designed by the UNL Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; It is hoped that these robots will help students get interested in science.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “We are going to try and use [the robots] to meet a variety of objectives. Most basic would be to act simply as a ‘hook’ to grab the students' attention,” said Benson physics teacher James Earnhardt.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The robots will also be used as visuals and learning aids throughout the different book chapters.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; However, as of right now Benson is having a hard time receiving the CEENbots because the parts are still being made by the students in the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “These students are busy, and studying in a very rigorous program,” said Earnhardt. “Their time to devote to this project is limited, and sometimes other activities take priority over making robots”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Along with the limited amount of time available to produce these robots, there are also concerns with the actual robots. The CEENbots still have “bugs” that need to be worked out before they can be given to Benson.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; It seems that if the kinks can be worked out of the operation, CEENbots will be a great way to help students learn, if they’re willing to.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “In order to be successful in this type of setting, students must have several personal attributes,” said Earnhardt. “They must have the reading skills necessary to digest and internalize new information as they encounter it.”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The students that display the proper behavior and skill needed to work with the robots may eventually even get to build their own CEENbot. These CEENbots will also help students with their long term education.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “CEENbots will help students have a greater understanding of what is needed to be successful in college by demonstrating the level of knowledge, skill, and motivation that successful college students are displaying in their programs today,” said Earnhardt

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The Benson Science Department hopes to get the CEENbots as soon as possible so be looking out for robots in a science classroom near you.

CHICAGO _ Justin Roberts has wildly curious young fans, the type who might lean into a live monitor during one of his concerts just to see what it sounds like.
But the popular children's entertainer knows a blast of loud music isn't the only risk to a child's hearing. What parents and kids really need to watch is the everyday use of earbuds that come with iPods and other MP3 players, said Roberts, who has teamed up with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to raise awareness about noise-induced hearing loss.
Not only do earbuds send sound directly into the delicate ear canal, but they boost the volume by as much as 9 decibels. And because today's devices can hold and play music for longer periods, kids are wearing them more than the recommended one hour a day, putting them at risk for permanent hearing loss after just five years, according to the ASHA.
&quot;Sound can be dangerous as well as fun,&quot; said Roberts, who headlined a &quot;Listen to Your Buds&quot; concert for school groups recently at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. &quot;It's an important message to get out to kids when they're young and their hearing is still great.&quot;
Studies show hearing loss is already affecting a younger population. More than half of high school students in the U.S. report having at least one symptom of hearing loss, according to a 2006 poll commissioned by ASHA. Another survey showed that 5.2 million 6- to 19-year-olds have some degree of hearing loss directly related to noise exposure.
The damage is based on two variables: the decibel level and duration of exposure.
Conversation measures 60 decibels on a sound meter. At 70 percent volume, an MP3 player can pump out 85 decibels, the recommended safe listening level.
But the gadgets are often played at 100 or even 120 decibels _ the equivalent of a gunshot or a jet engine _ which is enough to cause permanent damage.
The inner ear contains about 30,000 hair cells, which are tuned to specific frequencies, said audiologist Dennis Burrows, vice president for standards and ethics in audiology for ASHA. Loud music can destroy these cells; the first ones to go are the ones responsible for the highest frequencies.
&quot;Prolonged and loud exposure, much like lots of foot traffic through a doorway wears down carpet, will shear off these hair cells,&quot; said Burrows.
Roberts, who said The Who concerts taught him that &quot;loud rock music was the coolest thing in the world,&quot; now takes precautions to protect his own hearing _ especially since musicians Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend of The Who suffer from hearing loss. He also tries to keep his own concerts at safe levels.
But he also acknowledges that he's part of a rock band; the audience also should play it safe.
&quot;Use ear protective devices for kids who are more sensitive or be aware that kids might be up front and dancing,&quot; said Roberts. &quot;Whether it's leaning into a live monitor or using earbuds, kids are going to be exploring the world.&quot;

    <title>Native American Leadership Club</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/374/Native-American-Leadership-Club.aspx</link>
    <description>
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Friday, December 12, 2008 the Native American Leadership Club went to Lincoln for a visit to learn about some of the culture’s prospects. The group helps people to feel comfortable, and helps with some school work (provides tutors), while at the same time, they learn some customs of the Native American culture. The club watches videos, play games, and Ms. Beveridge and Ms. O'Neil-Heavey try to inform them with the latest news from the reservations and help members learn more about their culture and history. Nena Edwards, Skyy Lovejoy, and Antoinia Edwards founded the club at Benson and Central High Schools. They feel it helps Native Americans feel more welcomed and recognized. Lots of the members are very involved in the culture, and they talk of what it’s like to lead two lives.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “My favorite thing is being with the group is learning more about Native Americans. I also like that it gives me a chance to meet new people. I like that all the adults are willing to help us when it's needed,” freshman Paula Sullivan. “Many of them check on us at least 3 times a week to see how everything at school and home are doing. It's nice to know that I always have someone to talk to. I don't think there is anything I don't like about this group.”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The club members feel comfortable around each other.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;“The Hispanics have 'Latino Club' and I know that it's a place for them to feel comfortable because they&amp;#160;don't always fit in because they are 'different' and they are not always&amp;#160;comfortable&amp;#160;being around&amp;#160;the other students; that’s what we thought of when starting the club,” said senior Nena Edwards.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Curious as to why some of the newer members joined, I asked Sullivan her reason.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I joined to get to know more about Native American history and to get a little more information and to look into different colleges,” said Sullivan. “I think its fun and gives me an opportunity to look at different colleges and it pushes me a little harder to go to college. When I need help with something there is always someone from the group that will sit down and talk to me or just help me with everyday stuff.”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The members of the Native American Leadership club really seem to enjoy it. It appears to help it’s members in almost everyway possible.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “This makes me feel like a better student. I feel very confident and I feel that I’m doing better in my everyday life. It makes me feel that I can accomplish my goals,” said Sullivan.

    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/372/Students-saving-lives.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; There were nervous faces and bandaged arms everywhere you looked.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;The annual blood drive was on Wednesday December 10th, students and teachers got together to donate, and the blood flow was consistent all day.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “Thank you for exceeding goal and making us more than cost effective on your blood drive,” said Red Cross representative Kate Sullivan in an e-mail to Mrs. Garman. [Garman is the Senior Senate advisor and was responsible for setting up the drive,.] &amp;#160;“You produced the best blood drive we’ve had at Benson in YEARS.”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;It didn’t take much convincing for some faculty to donate and they barely even flinched when they were stuck with the needle. &amp;#160;Humanities Curriculum specialist Lisa Helmick and senior Charles Payne made a little competition on who would be the first to go through the whole process and donate.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I just wanted to beat Charles [Payne], and I did, so I win,” said Humanities Curriculum specialist Lisa Helmick.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Payne had a fun time with it but his intentions were in the right place as for why he decided to donate.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I wanted to help give blood to someone who could possibly die without it,” said Payne.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;But for another senior, the needle was the scariest part. Before giving blood, senior Ashley Bjorgaard was practically a wreck.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “My tattoo is on my back so I didn’t have to see it! I am just really nervous,” said Bjorgaard before she donated.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;To give blood takes a lot of courage, but the outcome is more rewarding than just getting out of class. You have saved a life! Someone out there relied on your blood to go home to their family, to go back to work the next day, or just so that they can make it through the holidays.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “My favorite high school memory is the blood drive because I got to save a life,” said senior Jessica Hagstrom.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; To everyone who donated: be proud of what you have done, it was worth it.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I hate how the weather channel says that we are not going to get anything and then out of nowhere we get something. When I woke up on Sunday morning I heard that we were going to have freezing temperatures on Monday morning, with that running in my mind I thought that school might be canceled.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I was soon going to find out that we were going to have school. It is now Tuesday and it is now snowing. When I first woke up to listen to the news to see if there was going to be school or delays, I heard that we were going to have only one to two inches of snow. With hearing that, I got ready like any other day. By the time I got to brushing my hair the weather channel was now saying that we were going to have two to four inches of snow.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I got to school and was walking around hearing that maybe if we are lucky we will get out of school early because of the snow. As I was walking around I heard that the snow was now supposed to be anywhere from five to seven inches. I highly doubt that we will be getting out of school early because of snow. I do not remember the last time that we got out early. Yes, it would be nice to get out early because of some snow but I highly doubt that is going to happen anytime soon.

    <description>MYSTIC STARS weekly horoscope: Week of Dec. 15
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;
(MCT)
December 15-21, 2008
ARIES (March 21-April 20) Over the next few days family members may need to clarify home roles. Late Monday expect loved ones to openly discuss recent emotional or financial decisions. Long-term romance and shared daily duties are accented. If so, remain patient and settle all outstanding concerns: delicate social or family arrangements may be involved. Later this week ask key officials for written instructions or detailed explanations: confusing documents may soon require public negotiations.
TAURUS (April 21-May 20) Personal questions and subtle romantic comments may be an ongoing theme for the next 3 days. Early this week watch for long-term friends or lovers to clarify past events, decisions or promises. Confidently state your emotional needs and daily expectations. All is well. After Wednesday a recent property dispute or newly settled legal issue may demand further negotiations. Don't delay: at present others may take advantage of vague details or ask for extra time, attention or money.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21) Search for reliable answers from loved ones this week. At present deep emotional fears or past social doubts may be slowing progress in key relationships. Refuse to be dissuaded: by the end of next week friends, lovers and close relatives will follow your lead. Tuesday through Friday pay attention to complex business alliances or rare political discussions. Workplace dynamics may now be unusually strained. Find private clarity: previously trusted rules will soon be re-established.
CANCER (June 22-July 22) For many Cancerians romantic optimism is now returning. Over the next few days let new attractions and light social encounters naturally develop. Newly begun relationships will greatly expand in the coming months: watch for steady emotional gains and renewed interest to now arrive. After Thursday key officials may deny responsibility in vital workplace projects. Remain silently supportive: ongoing errors and rare power struggles may soon become a strong influence.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Creativity, social awareness and sudden intuitions are now due to increase. Late Monday expect a mood of inner reflection and calm acceptance to arrive. Areas strongly affected are past romantic or family decisions, group ethics or lost time in key relationships. Remain focused: there's much to learn. Wednesday through Sunday accents bold statements of affection in friendships and romance. Stay flexible: someone close may now wish to commit to revised home or family plans.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Early this week workplace negotiations will require creativity and extra dedication: after Monday expect key officials to limit new projects or offer only restricted permissions. Muddle through and find positive methods: although controversial, fresh ideas are extremely worthwhile. Thursday through Saturday family relationships may be temporarily strained. Past financial records, daily budgets and home expenses may be a key source of concern. Don't hesitate: offer bold solutions.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) Act as workplace mediator this week, if possible. Colleagues or new officials may now dispute trusted policies. Some Librans may also experience a brief financial disagreement between loved ones. Plan revised budgets and fresh family activities. Change is needed. After Wednesday many Librans will experience a powerful wave of nostalgic memories. Sentimental reflection is healthy: pay close attention to insights and wisdom concerning past friendships and abandoned promises.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) Early this week friends or lovers may deny their past actions, words or decisions. Pay private attention to draining social triangles and allow loved ones added time for contemplation. New romantic rules and social expectations will soon be put to the test. After mid-week business relationships may be briefly complicate by workplace politics and private power struggles. Ignore all emotional statements: at present colleagues and officials may express unrealistic opinions.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21) Sentimental reflection will have a powerful influence this week. Before mid-week watch close relatives or loved ones for delightful signs of affection and long-term support. Unattached Sagittarians will experience fast romantic introductions. Enjoy private moments with friends or lovers: this is the right time to expand meaningful relationships and offer new promises. Thursday through Saturday highlights complex workplace alliances: avoid group pressure, if possible.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) Colleagues may this week pose unusual questions or request detailed descriptions of past projects. Avoid disclosing key facts, figures or amounts. Over the next few days practical information may be easily misinterpreted. Go slow and remain true to original values. After Wednesday respond quickly and honestly to last minute romantic or social invitations. Someone close may this week reveal deep affections or long-term expectations. Take time for reflection.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 19) Social relations or family triangles may now be complicated by new group plans. Before mid-week times, dates and revised schedules will be confusing. Use this time to settle long-standing disputes, introduce fresh activities and clearly outline future goals. After Thursday a powerful wave of romantic and spiritual insight arrives. Key issues may involve family traditions, home expectations or vital promises. Express your thoughts: loved ones will respond with compassion.
PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) Honesty between loved ones will now encourage emotional commitment. Late Monday expect a close friend or lover to reveal their passed history or offer a rare glimpse into their private world. Take all as a compliment and watch for powerful romantic overtures: others may now need to witness your dedication, insight and loyalty. Later this week some Pisceans will be asked to correct the mistakes of a past colleague. Go slow: vital facts and figures may be at issue.
If your birthday is this week...workplace dynamics may be unusually complicated before mid- January. Watch for key officials to soon revise short-term agendas or announce important improvements to team leadership. Carefully consider all subtle changes: for many Sagittarians this is a time of meaningful career changes and unexpected workplace advancement. At present, newly revealed office policy will tend to foreshadow the business politics of the coming 8 months. After mid-March a series of dynamic friendships are due to arrive in your life. Much of 2009 will bring valuable social and romantic choices. Stay alert to exotic or uniquely passionate proposals.

    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Sophomores, not sure what AP class to take next year? Not know how much time you will be devoting to that AP class? Well, look no further! Mrs. Chvatal’s AP History class has come to your rescue.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I knew that I had to do a project [for project based learning].” said Chvatal, “The AP webpage just seemed like a good idea.”
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Chvatal’s 5th block class, AP history, has been putting together an AP webpage for the past semester. It’s supposed to be a useful tool for students to make decisions for classes.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “The webpage is designed for students who are interested in taking AP courses, as well as parents and underclassmen.” said Chvatal.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The webpage consists if each AP class offered at Benson. Each class has its own webpage made by a group of students in the class. There are videos of teachers talking about their courses and requirements, as well as an outline on the page for those who don’t want to watch the video. The links on the left side of each page are links to helpful sights that will help out the students in the class.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “We hope that with this website more students will decide to or at least consider taking some AP classes.” said Chvatal.
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The webpage is still under construction. There are a few minor things that still need to be fixed or changed before the official release date.
&amp;#160;

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “The webpage will be officially released the day after we get back from Christmas break.” said Chvatal
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Check out the link if you're interested!

Falling auto values leave buyers trapped in loans
By Diane C. Lade
Sun Sentinel
(MCT)
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ Long-term loans and low down payments, coupled with falling auto values, are leaving some motorists &quot;upside-down&quot; in their cars _ owing more than their vehicles are worth.
Consumer advocates worry that this trend will become increasingly problematic over the next year, as cash-strapped consumers _ desperate to dump their gas-guzzling SUVs, trucks and cars _ discover they can't get good financing on their negative-equity trade-ins.
The values on &quot;clean, 1-year-old&quot; vehicles have dropped in the past year _ by between 9 percent and 38 percent, depending on the make and model _ according to the National Automobile Dealers Association. Car industry statistics released this month show auto sales are at a 26-year low.
For years, some dealers have offered financing that rolls a customer's negative equity into a new car loan, which is legal. Or consumers with little to put down on a new car may opt for extended terms that today can stretch as long as seven years, to keep their payments low.
But advocates say many buyers don't understand that these transactions can lock them into a downward financial spiral that's tough to escape. And they question whether all dealers are disclosing the negative equity in these trades.
Such financing &quot;means a car probably will die or need expensive repairs before it's paid off,&quot; said Rosemary Shahan, founder of the California-based Consumers for Auto Reliability and Safety, also known as CARS. &quot;People are sinking deeper into debt on a product that depreciates rapidly.&quot;
About one-fourth of new auto sales this year left consumers upside-down, according to Edmunds.com, an auto shopping service, with them owing an average of $4,421 on their loans over their car's value. The percentage of negative equity sales has hovered around that mark since 2003, although the negative balance on those loans is about 25 percent higher.
During the auto industry bailout hearings in Congress early this month, CARS was one of several consumer groups in Washington, D.C., promoting additional protections for auto buyers, including more transparent sales tactics and financing.
In the worst-case scenario, a buyer who uses his negative auto equity on a trade-in could find himself on the hook for two car payments.
That's what happened to Carlos Dominguez, a graphic designer who exchanged his Volkswagen Jetta and $4,000 in negative equity for a $30,000 new Mazda sports sedan at Mazda of Kendall in Miami. When the dealership went into bankruptcy several months later, Dominguez said the Volkswagen's lender was holding him responsible for the outstanding Jetta payments because the dealer never had paid off the car.
And when he went to buy a more affordable car this year, Dominguez realized he owed thousands more than the Mazda was worth as a result of a financing plan that included 96-month repayment terms. &quot;I have a thing for cars, but the financing part is pretty scary and confusing,&quot; said Dominguez, who filed a lawsuit to settle the case involving both cars.
California auto buyers in Dominguez's situation can petition their state's Consumer Recovery Fund, created last year, for reimbursement if a dealership didn't pay off their loan. But Florida doesn't have such a law.
Tim Blake, the Miami lawyer handling Dominguez's case, said he has been flooded with calls about smaller auto sales companies, including one that went out of business without paying off the loans on trade-ins belonging to at least five clients. &quot;Dealers are cutting corners just to get deals done,&quot; Blake said.

    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/350/Staying-Fit-Healthy-or-Not.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Approximately 127 million adults in the U.S. are overweight. 60 million are obese, and 9 million severely obese or their BMI is very high. BMI stands for Body Mass Index. Overweight is defined as a BMI of 25 or more, obesity is 30 or more, and severe obesity is 40 or more.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Being obese increases the risk of illnesses of 30 serious medical conditions. These include diabetes, overweight, high blood sugar and many others. Any of those conditions can shorten your life span. Your whole life you would have to be helped by family members or friends. Obesity leads to a harder more troubling lifestyle. Instead of hanging out with friends and enjoying life, you will be stuck at home or doctor appointments. Your “best years” will not be spent like a regular teenager.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Obesity is a growing problem for younger children. Some start habits that can cause type 2 diabetes. Diabetes can change your life style a lot because it makes you check your self for problems high blood presser can be part of it and insulin. &amp;#160;

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The age group of highest obesity among men is 65 to 74 and among women is 55 to 64 and at least 20% are obese. As you get older you can become out of shape because you are still in school walking around or out side doing physical activity. With that said the highest obesity age group among men is 65 to 74 and among women it is 55 to 64. Not to mention at least 20 % of those age groups are in fact obese.&amp;#160;&amp;#160;

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; So you’re more likely you might get obese if you continue to eat fast food instead of a balanced diet or sit in front of the TV and do no physical activity. Get up off the couch and go out side and play and have fun. You can stay fit buy playing a sport getting, out side, and having a healthy diet.

    <title>Behind the Scenes: Lunch</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/351/Behind-the-Scenes-Lunch.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Everyday at Benson High School, the lunch staff serves over 1100 students, and that’s not even considering breakfast. Julie Allen, the cafeteria manager, along with seventeen other employees, makes it happen everyday.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Daily, the workers begin at 6 A.M. Yes, that means they have to get up extremely early while most of us are at home sleeping in our cozy warm beds. When we get to school, we have the option of having complementary, free breakfast. Then the staff begins to continue preparing for lunch, because usually they start the day before.&amp;#160;The cafeteria staff gets to go home at about 2:30 P.M., because their work for the day is done.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Some students say that school lunch food isn’t ‘up to par’, but let’s see you try to cook for over eleven hundred students, AND seven other schools. That’s right, Benson is a central kitchen. Meaning not only does the staff cook for our students, but hundreds of others also. The Benson cafeteria staff makes a lot of the foods we eat, such as the lasagna, macaroni and cheese, and chili.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;We all know that students have two different options of places to eat daily. Anywhere between 450 to 500 students eat in the commons every day. We also have at least two entr&#233;e choices. In the cafeteria, as most of the student body knows, we have more than two choices, and more choices for dessert. However, the cafeteria is always more crowded than the commons, so if you want more options, you have to pay the price (not literally).

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I like the hours, and having time off whenever the kids get out of school,” said Julie Allen. “I like to cook, and most of the time I like the kids, when they aren’t being honoree.”&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Allen has been in the foods and nutrition department for 15 years, and she’s been the cafeteria manager at Benson for 6 of those years. She keeps things in order, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Julie Allen has also worked at King Science Center, Skinner, and Fieldclub Elementary School.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; So, next time you go through the lunch line, remember that it takes SEVENTEEN people to make YOUR lunch happen. The cafeteria/commons staff serves over 1100 children just at Benson, not including the seven other schools they cook for. If we take it for granted, one thing is certain; we shouldn’t.

    <description>
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; We have all heard the infamous pop summer hit “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Katy Perry’s “One of the Boys” album was released on June 17, 2008.&amp;#160;The album consists of popish vibes and fun lyrics for a girl’s night out.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The first single from the album “One of the Boys”, was of course, “I Kissed a Girl.” The hit received MAJOR airtime after it was debuted on I-tunes over the summer. The hit jumped from spot # 76 to #1 (on the billboard top 100 hits) in just 8 days after the album was released. “Hot N’ Cold” was then released shortly after. It made it to #5 on the list within 1 week of its release.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Perry’s CD has been marked “slanderous” because of another hit song “Ur So Gay.” With lyrics such as “You’re so gay and you don’t even like boys” it can be taken that way. But the song was about one of Perry’s ex boyfriends who wore guyliner and took a lot of emo pictures of himself.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; One of the Boys is a definite change of pace. The lyrics are fun and flirty in some songs such as “One of the Boys” and heartfelt like in “Thinking of You.”
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &amp;#160;This CD has something to offer everyone. If you like to party, just turn on “Fingerprints.” If you just want to chill, turn on “Lost.” It’s very versatile and fun to listen to.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &amp;#160;I give this CD 4 out of 5 stars. The songs are all entertaining and will leave you craving more. The beats and rhythm will make you want to dance.

&amp;#160;

    I Kissed a Girl

    <title>Teacher Profile: Susan Kirsch</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/345/Teacher-Profile-Susan-Kirsch.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Susan Kirsch is a new art teacher at Benson. She teaches Art 4 and 2. She has been teaching for fourteen years and has taught in Lincoln, on the Santee Sioux Indian Reservation, and has been teaching in OPS for 8 years. Along with Benson she has taught at Bryan and South high schools.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;“I have worked at the elementary level for many years, which was enjoyable, however I have always been drawn to the high school level,” said Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Kirsch, after teaching at other high schools, was drawn to Benson for its Art Department which is “one of the best in the state”. Not to mention Benson’s Graphic Design Academy and the “phenomenal” art staff.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Ever since Kirsch can remember, art has been a large part of her life.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “It kept me motivated and interested in school and wan an emotional outlet. I can’t imagine a life without art,” said Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Along with art, Kirsch had a love of working with children, which led to her decision to become an art teacher.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I come from a family with teachers in it so when I was trying to decide what to do in college I knew I loved art and I loved working with kids so it just seemed to be a natural fit,” said Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Teaching seems to have benefits for Kirsch, from being to be around art all day long, showing her love for art and get to see her students get excited about art it is a real dream job for Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I enjoy teaching so much-the interaction with the students- being able to talk about and make art.&amp;#160; What isn’t to like?” said Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;Outside of school, Kirsch enjoys many different types of art.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “When drawing I try for realism. When I am painting it always seems to be a bit abstract and when I’m doing photography I love to take pictures of people...so realistic,” said Kirsch.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;One of her favorite artists is Frida Kahlo so she also enjoys Surrealism and the impressionist.

    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/334/Operation-Hairy-Rhino.aspx</link>
    <description>
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Operation hairy rhino is a project that the Benson swim team worked on for months. The deal was that if the swim team could raise a minimum of $500 the upperclassmen on the swim team could shave Mr. Rhine’s head at the winter pep rally. The team exceeded their goal with a grand total of $515 and, as promised, they got to shave Rhine’s head in front of the entire Benson student body. The second part of the deal is that Mr. Rhine actually had to come to school the following day with his new do. Mr. Rhine was a good sport and followed through with his end of the deal.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The money that was raised is going to fund the swim team.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;“One of the things that we’ve been trying to do over the past couple of years is have a little more fun as a team, in order to do that you have to have a little bit of money,” said Rhine.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Rhine agrees it was a positive way for the students to get involved in a school fund raiser.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;“Am I positive about it? Yea I am because my team had a lot of fun with it,” said Rhine. “The hair cut was a little more traumatic then I thought it would actually be”.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Luckily for Rhine (but sad for everyone else) the other part of the deal was that he could finish cutting his hair properly Friday night.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Overall operation hairy rhino was a success. The swim team had fun, raised the money and the rest of Benson difinitely enjoyed seeing Rhine get shaved.

MYSTIC STARS weekly horoscope: Week of Dec. 8
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;
By Lasha Seniuk
&amp;#160;
(MCT)
December 8-14, 2008
ARIES (March 21-April 20) Love, friendships and sudden romantic promises are accented over the next few days. New relationships will quickly develop shared goals and vibrant passions. Remain cautious, however, and carefully consider all commitments. Unpredictable responses from long-term friends or close relatives may be bothersome. After Friday many Aries natives may be asked to review the recent work of a close colleague. Stay focused on long-term achievement and avoid criticism: all is well.
TAURUS (April 21-May 20) Money restrictions and lingering debts will now fade. Unique sources of income, secondary job assignments or successful loan applications may soon take precedence. Carefully research all new business ventures, potential partnerships and private investments. After Tuesday paperwork and accurate figures will prove vital: ask for written agreements. Thursday through Sunday accent delightful romantic moments and quiet family time. Enjoy shared trust: your attention is needed.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21) Loved ones may this week request a detailed explanation of social promises or family decisions. Work schedules and planned celebrations will now compete for attention. Refuse to be derailed. Revised home and business commitments may soon work to your advantage: remain positive and ask for extra consideration. Late this week many Geminis will experience a dramatic flash of wisdom, insight or glimpse of future events. Stay alert: career and home planning are accented.
CANCER (June 22-July 22) Subtle romantic comments and coy remarks will this week need to be fully explored. Someone close may wish to encourage new levels of intimacy. Allow past expectations to fade: this is a powerful time for revised emotional agreements and creative sensuality. Respond honestly to all overtures and expect obvious statements of affection. After Friday a new financial resource may become available: check investments, property assessments or tax payments for valuable clues.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Group events are socially complicated and highly political this week. After Monday expect private power struggles between friends or unusual romantic competitions in the workplace. Avoid involvement: at present friends and colleagues are unlikely to respond to positive advice. Remain quietly detached and wait for lasting improvement. Wednesday through Saturday a new romantic flirtation may quickly evolve toward passion. Stay flexible: powerful emotions may be at issue.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Discuss all business plans or proposed employment changes this week with close relatives and trusted friends. Over the next few days loved ones may feel unappreciated or socially isolated. Encourage open debate and involve relatives, friends and lovers in all key decisions. Your wisdom will be quickly acknowledged. After Friday some Virgos may experience minor aches in the upper back, joints or teeth. Unconscious emotions are involved: expect renewed vitality to soon follow.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) Vivid dream experiences and sudden emotional outbursts may be a brief theme over the next 4 days. If so, expect romantic partners and long-term friends to openly compete for your loyalty or affection. Trust your own instincts and opt for quiet or solitary activities. Wisdom and unique insights are now available. Friday through Sunday accent parent/child relationships and daily home adjustments. Schedules and ongoing routines may require detailed adjustment: stay open.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) Minor home repairs or quick renovations may prove more costly than anticipated this week. After Monday family spending and short-term budgets will require negotiations. Complete all projects and request timely approval from loved ones. Relatives and long-term friends will respond positively to determination. Remain attentive to small details. Thursday through Sunday a new romantic relationship may quickly escalate: expect serious proposals and bold affections.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21) Early this week a recently silent friend may voice strong opinions. Areas of concern involve romantic triangles in the home, repeated social patterns or the unproductive relationships of family members. Powerful feelings may need to be expressed. Offer encouragement but avoid acting as mediator: lasting change will take time. After Thursday some Sagittarians will encounter a powerful new romantic attraction. If so, clarify all expectations: exotic proposals are likely.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) Business speculation, workplace gossip or rare job opportunities should this week be kept private. Over the next three days new colleagues may attempt to take advantage of unusual political triangles. Refuse to be drawn into unexpected group discussions: emotional competitions or unethical behavior will not be easily forgotten. Tuesday through Friday accents social planning and complex family discussions. Older relatives may make unique demands: stay balanced.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 19) Past friendships or postponed relationships now require completion. Old lovers or distant friends may this week return or demand detailed explanations of yesterday's decisions. If so, don't be drawn into unproductive discussions or rekindled passions: repeated social patterns will soon prove draining. Later this week a financial mistake from approximately six weeks ago may resurface. Thoroughly evaluate documents and daily expenses: small calculations will prove vital.
PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) Unexpected payments or delayed contracts may be bothersome over the next four days. Financial aspirations and business options will now need to be temporarily adjusted. Ask loved ones for detailed advice: someone close may have a unique perspective on short-term career strategies and cherished values. Remain open to creative suggestion. After Wednesday a new and inviting social network may emerge. Trust your first instincts: emotional change will bring fulfillment.
If your birthday is this week...workplace discussions and business negotiations may be misleading over the next few weeks. Before mid-month expect older colleagues or trusted officials to provide faulty information or vague instructions. Avoid unnecessary risk, if possible. In the coming weeks public reputation and self-image in the workplace may be unusually strained. Early next year, however, a surprising promotion or job offer may arrive. If so, expect surprising new options before the end of February. March through mid-April also highlights fast romantic or home reversals. Someone close may need extra time to resolve personal issues or family disputes. Remain patient and watch for subtle signs of group approval or long-term acceptance.

&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;Do

*Firmly shake their hand.
*When they ask if you have any questions, ask questions about the company. It will show that you are actually interested and seem like you care.
*Always say thank you

*Come prepared with a resume. Even if they don't ask.
&amp;#160;
Don't

    <title>Greed: Would you give in?</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/324/Greed-Would-you-give-in.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Greed. One word that is for the most part associated with teenagers when it comes to money and stealing. But in that kind of situation what would you do? Take the money, that credit card, that purse perhaps? It’s just laying there and no one else is around, so why not? Think about how you would handle that situation.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; For four Benson students that choice was quickly made, more by instinct than thought. &amp;#160;Not to mention that honest decision made the day of a Lincoln woman visiting a relative here in the Benson area.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; It began as a regular day just driving home from swim practice, seniors Paige Crummer, Taylor Morrow, junior Hannah Orr and Taylor’s brother Paul, a sophomore, were in the car.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &amp;#160;“At first we saw the purse and thought it was a dead animal or something,” said Taylor “We were all were like, hit it hit!”
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Though after coming closer they realized that an open purse sat in front of them, not some poor dead road kill. The purse was laying on the ground with some of its contents already spilled out. Keys and other things sat beside it strewn about.
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “[Our first thought] was to grab it and see who it belonged to,” said Orr “We were worried at first that maybe the owner had been kidnapped.”
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; After looking through the purse for identification, the group called the police and had Paul MapQuest the address found on a card. Then later they realized that the address was in Lincoln not Omaha. Not knowing what else to do a call to mom, Teri Morrow was made and the quest was back on with the idea of calling the credit card company to contact the woman.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &amp;#160;“[We reached the woman] through the credit card company and she came to our house to get the purse back,” said Paul.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “She was so excited to see us,” said Taylor.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &amp;#160;“I would have done it for anyone,” said Crummer.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The woman, Mrs. Alisanne Ells was visiting a relative and had misplaced the person while loading the car to return to Lincoln.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I will tell the story many times, applauding their character and decision,” said Ells in an email to Principal Lisa Dale.

&amp;#160;“I was proud of these four as if I were their parent myself!”

    <title>Latino Leaders Club makes community service project fun</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/321/Latino-Leaders-Club-makes-community-service-project-fun.aspx</link>
    <description>&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The Latino Leaders Club goes out in the community for their monthly school and community service projects, but the most recent one was a bit different. The students rang Christmas bells for the Salvation Army at the Bakers store on 90th and Ames St. They were there from 11:00- 4:00 PM on November 22nd. I was wondering how they got involved in the activity.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Emilia Galvan, one of the students, called around to different places to see who needed to have help from volunteers this year. Eventually, she found out that the Salvation Army needed help from volunteers ringing bells. They decided to participate in the activity.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I decided to ring the bells because it just came from my heart to help the people&amp;#160;that really need us to help them,” said senior Evelyn Tapia.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Another Latino leader found it almost an honor to participate.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “I wanted to know how it feels to do something for some one you don't know, but who need it,” said junior Erendira Ventura Rodriguez. “I liked everything, but the best part was when a little kid put the money and then asked me if they could ring the bell.”

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; This event could possibly very heartwarming. It brings about the hospitality of the upcoming winter season and break. It was a community project, but it seems this one really ‘hit home’.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; “It was one of the best experiences in my life,” said Rodriguez.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; During the five hours they were there, the Latino Leaders Club rose over $230 that was used to help families in need of some refuge.
Did you know?
&#183;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; It’s been 117 years that the Salvation Army has begun ringing bells.
&#183;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; At least 25,000 bell ringers will volunteer this year.
&#183;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Last year, over 29 million Americans were helped with the funds.
&#183;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The 1952 Bill Crosby rendition of Silver Bells &amp;#160;was inspired by Salvation Army bell ringers.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; This year, on your way out of the grocery store, maybe this story will urge you to donate your spare change even, to the Salvation Army to help people who really need it during this holiday season.

    <description>&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Did you miss the fall play at Benson and later regret it? Did you read the review and look back thinking, “Wow, why didn’t I go?” Well lose that sorrow because Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters is back!
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The Drama Department is presenting the touring version of the play at 5pm on Friday, December 5. The performance will be at Benson in the auditorium and the admission is free. The show runs about 30 minutes so you can come enjoy the play and still be able to make it to whatever plans you might have.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;The next day, Saturday, the cast and crew will be taking the show to Lincoln North Star as a part of the district one-act play competition. We wish them all the best.

    <title>UnderOath: Too bland and conforming</title>
    <link>http://www.ops.org/HIGH/BENSON/StudentLife/tabid/647/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/302/UnderOath-Too-bland-and-conforming.aspx</link>
    <description>
&amp;#160;
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Fans were promised a “heavier” side of UnderOath with the release of their new CD “Lost in the Sound of Sepatation.” (out on September 2, 2008) but where is that at? Sure, there are screams and such but it sounds more like a watered down, condensed version of the old UnderOath.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;In 1998, UnderOath was started by Dallas Taylor and guitarist Luke Morton. (Dallas Taylor left the band and was replaced by Spencer Chamberlin.) Drummer Aaron Gilspie was then asked to join. Soon after, guitarist Corey Steger and bassist Octavio Fernandez were recruited.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; New tracks were meant to give a fresh new look at UnderOath, while still being heavy. I can look at them now and shake my head in disappointment. This album is the worst album they have produced. I actually prefer “Define the Great Line.” It’s powerful and expressive while maintaining who UnderOath was. But now, it’s like who are they trying to be?

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The old UnderOath was not afraid to be loud, be unique. Now they just seem to be conforming. For example, few bands have stuck with their original sound. Atreyu gave theirs up, so did Bullet For My Valentine. I don’t like Barbie rock.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; UnderOath relies too much on the music and the melody. It just seems that the lyrics were thrown into place.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; This CD should be burned. Not like massed produced, but burned in a fireplace. This CD was a waste of my money and my time. But that is just me.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Sure, the guitar rifts are totally rockin’ but so what? There are lots of bands out there that are good with the guitars and such but they still are cool. But UnderOath, not with this album!

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; I give this CD 2 stars due to the fact that I love UnderOath, just not this CD.

&amp;#160;
Tracks:

    Breathing In a New Mentality
    Any Man Can Dig a Hole, But It Takes a Real Man to Call It Home
    A Fault Line, A Fault of Mine
    Emergency Broadcast- The End Is Near
    The Only Survivor Was Miraculously Unharmed
    We Are the Involuntary
    The Created Void
    Coming Down Is Calming Down
    Desperate Times, Desperate Measures
    Too Bright to See Too Loud to Hear
    Desolate Earth- The End Is Near&amp;#160;
